Why did I start?

I created the idea of Find Flights for Me back in 2023 as a way to help people utilize credit card points.

At the time, my social media was inundated with vague promises of flying business and first class using points and no explanation on how or what needed to be done. Unless of course you paid hundreds of dollars for a generic course. I had already been learning on my own from utilizing various websites, forums, and Facebook groups over the last few years and thought I could share content to help others. I wanted my content to be easy-to-understand, actionable, and useful for people, regardless of whether they are just starting out or are advanced.

 

What do I do?

I share ways to redeem airline, hotel, and credit card points that provide outsized value. Most of my content is focused on booking business and first class flights. But there are also great ways to redeem points for hotels and other experiential opportunities.

You would be surprised how many people use points from points-earning cards and redeem for gift cards, the travel portal, or statement credit. And that can work for some people, but by doing so, you are locking in a fixed rate on what your points are worth (usually around 1 cent per point where 60,000 points = $600). If you are willing to learn, be flexible, and read my newsletter, you can turn that 1 point into 2-10x or even greater value.

 

Why did I create this site?

There’s a lot of information on how to earn points. There are also a lot of inspirational posts on how to use them.

However, most people don’t tell you how difficult it is to find the deals you want.

With only a limited supply of flights that are bookable at a “good rate”, especially to popular destinations, it can be frustrating trying to find ways to maximize your points. This is the “gotcha” of using credit card points and my goal is to help reduce that friction and help you book your next trip.

I started sharing flight deals and tips & tricks through Instagram. However, I believe there is much more I can cover with a site and newsletter, including covering breaking news, more timely award alerts, and step-by-step guides for more complex tips & tricks.

Finally, the points & miles world is fast-changing, so it can be hard to keep up with all the news and changes. I hope to cut through all the noise and keep you up-to-date on all the imporant points & miles news.
